The Garden

Having gardened in raised beds for thirty years I knew this was the direction I wanted to continue. Fourteen cedar built frames of various sizes now form the structure for the raised bed vegetable and strawberry garden. An unbelievable amount of food can be produced in this space. It is tidy, enjoyable to work in and very attractive. The garden is built in front of the potting shed/greenhouse which is surrounded by rhubarb and blueberries.

Behind the greenhouse is a grape arbor and the barn.

There are also many perennials, shrubs and trees that have remained since my grandmother planted them years ago, including Mountain Rhododendron, native Azalea, Mountain Laurel, Trumpet Vine, Japanese Kerria, and weeping Forsythia.
